PV supports mainly come in three types: fixed supports, fixed adjustable supports, and horizontal single-axis tracking supports. The rationality of PV support selection is closely related to the subsequent installation and construction. Unreasonable selection may lead to difficulties in installing the supports or even failure to install them.
At present, the difficulties in installing PV supports in mountainous areas mainly lie in two aspects:(1) Due to the uneven terrain, the column lengths of PV supports in the same group are different, which needs to be considered in the design.(2) Difficulties in connecting bolts with bolt holes or failure to connect them caused by construction errors. Currently, C-shaped purlins (with reserved adjustment holes) and 插管 - type columns are mostly used to solve the above problems.
According to a large number of engineering cases, the steel consumption of fixed supports (with components arranged in large arrays) is approximately 6% less than that of fixed supports (with components arranged in small arrays).
At present, the foundations of PV supports mainly include the following types:
- Reinforced concrete strip foundation
- Micropile grouted pile foundation
- Prestressed concrete pipe pile foundation
- Rock bonded rebar anchor foundation
- Screw steel pile foundation
The selection of foundation type depends on the project's geological conditions, terrain, slope, groundwater level, corrosivity, and other factors. Currently, the most commonly used foundations are micropile grouted pile foundations and prestressed concrete pipe pile foundations. During the design process, the applicability and economy of single-column and double-column structures should be taken into account.
According to a large number of engineering cases, for prestressed pipe pile foundations, the material cost of pile foundations for fixed supports (with components arranged in large arrays) is approximately 12.5% lower than that for fixed supports (with components arranged in small arrays).
- PV Support: Abbreviation for "Photovoltaic Support", referring to the structural component that fixes and supports photovoltaic modules in a solar power station.
- Micropile Grouted Pile Foundation: A type of deep foundation with a small diameter (usually less than 300mm), formed by grouting after pile installation, suitable for complex geological conditions in mountainous areas.
- Prestressed Concrete Pipe Pile: A prefabricated concrete pile with prestress, featuring high strength and fast construction speed, widely used in large-scale photovoltaic power stations.
